Curtain Call: Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet’s Final Performances
Known for bringing works by some of Europe’s most à la mode choreographers to New York with an unmatched youthful energy, Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet shocked the dance world earlier this year with an announcement that it will cease operations at the end of this season.  The group will give its final performances this weekend at BAM, with programs featuring company favorites from Crystal Pite and Jiří Kylián, along with one final premiere by Forsythe-alum Richard Siegal.

Will Rawls explores past and present with “Settlement Hous
e”
After giving a beautiful performance with Kaitlyn Gilliland this February at Danspace Project, Will Rawls wasted no time putting together his next ambitious project. “Settlement House,” a two-day installation at the Abrons Art Center Playhouse, delves into the history of art, performance, and public presentation at this New York landmark, taking its structural cues from the memory of all-day performance pageants that once graced the Center’s Henry Street neighborhood.

Saturday, June 6 – Sunday, June 7
Installation open from 5:00pm – 9:00pm
Abrons Art Center Playhouse
466 Grand Street

Two nights only: Chavasse and dancers return for NYC showcase
In their first company-dedicated showcase since 2011, Amy Chavasse and her company, ChavasseDance&Performance, will stop in New York this weekend to present “Amy Chavasse and Guests” at Triskelion Arts. Alongside a trusty troupe of dancers, Chavesse confronts history, public sentiment, and even conspiracy theories over the course of the evening in a new solo work, a duet, and the revival of 2011’s The Hunger for the Longing (a biased history of seduction).

Saturday, June 6 and Sunday, June 7 at 8:00pm
Triskelion Arts
106 Calyer Street
Brooklyn, NY 11222
